Hello! My name is Tracey Lowrey, also known as “TraceySings”.
I really enjoy singing rock, pop, and R&B music. As long as I can remember music has been a big part of my life. Even though I didn’t pass the cut to get into Grade 7 choir that didn’t stop me from singing. Over the years my influences have been people like Anne Wilson, Robert Plant, Steve Perry, Aretha Franklin, and Celine Dion to name just a few.
2020 to 2023 [ Live Streaming & YouTube ]
At the beginning of 2020 I decided I really wanted to focus more on my singing, and to create a repertoire on line, so that if someone was looking for a singer I could direct them to my YouTube page. When COVID hit, it was a good opportunity to work on recording videos. I used karaoke tracks as my backtracks and recorded songs in one take as I tried to get a live feeling.
From Nov 2021 to Nov 2022 I was doing weekly live streams on a website/app called Sessions Live. [If you’d like to see songs that are in my repertoire click here] Sessions Live was a place that musicians and singers could live stream and support each other. It was a great concept, and I met some really cool people over the year, but in December 2022 Sessions Live ceased to exist.
In 2023 I plan on doing monthly live streams on YouTube. [Click here for a blog post about my challenges as I set up to start live streaming again.] I’m also contemplating how I can make better videos, but right now I have more ideas than I have time or money.
2008 to 2019 [ The Wild Onions ]
The Wild Onions were a three piece band based out of Lillooet BC. [click here to read more about the Wild Onions]
I believe we started the Wild Onions around 2008, or maybe it was 2009. We played pop, rock and R&B songs from the 60’s to the 80’s. The Wild Onions were known as Lillooet’s favorite house band, and we played at the Apricot Festival (almost every year), plus we played many times at the Curling Club for their Bonspiel and New Years Eve events.
This website is a work in progress and will be updated over time…stay tuned 🎵🎤
