And now for something completely different.

My brother Todd lives in Japan. He reached out to me in the Fall of 2022 because he was creating some lesson plans for kids, and wanted to know if I’d be interested in singing some songs he wrote for his lesson plan. He emailed me the songs and backtracks, I recorded the tracks in my living room and sent the tracks back to my brother in Japan.

The songs then got mixed and some cute little videos were made. The Numbers song (first one below) seems to be the favorite so far, notching 12,000 views in the first three weeks it was posted!

For the last song I recorded, I tried real hard to cut down the outside noise. My living room is not an idea studio space, as there’s a lot of glass and outside noise. So I set up a bunch of pillows around me and draped a big heavy blanket over me in an effort to reduce the background noise. It seemed to work for this project, but maybe not so practical for future projects.
